Men face unique pressures.
We understand that modern life presents unique challenges for men. Men can face pressure to succeed, maintain emotional control, and juggle personal and professional demands—leading to stress, anxiety, and feelings of isolation. Therapy offers a transformative space to explore these pressures and develop healthier ways to cope, grow, and thrive.
Our expert therapists specialize in helping men address a range of issues, from stress and anxiety to relationship difficulties and self-esteem concerns. We also treat the specific needs and goals of men in law, tech, and finance.
Master emotional literacy.
Therapy challenges you to identify and express your emotions—a key skill for deeper connection in relationships. If your partner feels distant or doesn't understand you, this can signal a lack of emotional intimacy. Therapy helps you interpret your own emotions and your partner's, transforming your ability to feel "known" and truly connected.
Emotional understanding can also be a powerful tool in your career. Hone your conflict resolution, active listening, empathy, and assertiveness skills- you'll be able to succeed in tough conversations and lead successful negotiations.
Break negative cycles.
Certain emotional states can be overwhelming. When this happens, it can lead to feeling the need to "get rid of" bad feelings through substance use, or other addiction-like behaviors. Often these behaviors are an attempt to self-regulate, or manage, your overwhelming feelings.
Therapy can help you break negative emotional cycles. You'll develop healthier ways to manage feelings, gain mental clarity under pressure, and build resilience in the face of setbacks.
Set up a complimentary phone or video consultation. Feel free to share what you need help with. We can share about about our approach to treatment, and answer any questions you have. We will collaborate with you on scheduling and billing (fees, insurance assistance, or OON benefits), and whatever else you need to get started.
An introductory session, where we can discuss your treatment needs, goals, and whatever else is important to you. We'll chat about the plan for working together. This is a good way for you to see if we're a good fit.
We'll talk about whatever is relevant to you (your history, your preoccupations, or just what you've been thinking about that week.) Our job is to both lead and follow you, meaning we let you determine what and when you want to share, while using our expertise to listen for specific patterns and themes that will become important for your work.
Over time, we will share and discuss insights and collaborate together. We will figure out what's true and useful for you together.
You'll integrate what is useful from therapy into your life, when you find it appropriate or necessary. You will start to feel changes in yourself and your life. We can test and refine our interventions.
We don't believe there's a "right" time to end therapy for everyone. That said, we practice a type of depth therapy, that strives to create changes that will benefit you long-term.
