DESIGN NOTE:
Don't worry, this is a hidden canvas. You can delete it after you read this. FYI, this top section is going to look strange, but it functions beautifully in the live preview, so don't delete the second section that appears blank / to have a weird gap! It's so the text will load over it beautifully.
Since the text is white and hard to see, just briefly turn the text black to edit, then back to white, or you can make it black and change the top background colors instead! — Jen
We know it can be daunting to begin therapy, and we know there's many ambiguous details about the process. We believe therapy can be approachable, and we can guide you through the entire process. We offer flexible scheduling, in-person, or virtual sessions and assistance with out-of-network billing.
Read on for questions about how to start therapy, insurance billing/fees or other frequently asked questions.
Or, book an appointment now.
This is a totally complimentary 20 minute consultation, either by phone or video. It's a great time for you to share what you're looking for in therapy (if you know!) and to see whether we might be a good match. Ask us any questions you have!
Check availability and schedule your call.
We understand that finding the right therapeutic fit is a process, and starting therapy doesn’t mean you’re obligated to continue. Trying three sessions can help you decide if it feels like a good match—there’s no commitment beyond that. Research shows that the most important factor in successful therapy is a good fit between the therapist and client, but it’s not always easy to determine that right away. Meeting for three sessions gives you the opportunity to decide if you’d like to continue. The choice is entirely yours!

What types of services do you offer? Do you see couples?
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, we only offer individual psychotherapy, not couples therapy. We exclusively work with adults. We are happy to provide referrals to other specialists (such as those specializing in EMDR or ketamine-assisted therapy) and psychiatrists (for medication management) as needed while working together.
What if I'm not sure what I need or want from therapy?
That’s completely normal. We’re here to guide you, so you don’t need to know “how to do therapy” or even have a clear idea of what you’re looking for. Figuring that out can be an important part of the therapy process.
I don't see the specialty I'm interested in listed, but I'm still curious about working together
Feel free to reach out to us here or ask during your free consultation! We may be able to assist you directly or provide a referral. You can also check our specialties pages for more information.
What is your typical client?
Many of our clients are young adults and adult professionals who are curious and eager to better understand themselves. They are often focused on personal growth, improving relationships, building self-esteem, and clarifying their life goals.
We accept Aetna for clients located in NY.
